I work in an office where we have Kim (a person with a developmental disability) come every Tuesday to volunteer with basic office work. I saw Kim at a bus stop one Tuesday so I pulled over to see if she would like a ride to the office. She was very careful to make sure she knew who I was and once she realized she knew me and could trust me she got in. I have a metalic green Mustang and Kim was thrilled to be getting a ride in a Mustang. She talked all the way to work about cars she has been in and how nice my car was. I let her in the employee enterance of the office, which to her was very special. When she was having a break with the other employees in the office she could not stop talking about getting a ride to work in a Mustang. To Kim this was such a big deal where I just thought it would be nice to pick her up. We love Kim at work and always include her in our activities.
